Bought a new Car from Fiat (Desira Group Norwich) two days prior to picking it up i recieved a call to say that unfortunatly they had sold it to someone else. They arranged another car for me but when it arrived it was in a bad state, all the wheels were scuffed there were scratches and marks and the rev counter didn,t work, but they said they'd fix them all. 10 weeks later they had repaired everything but the rev counter and at this time told me it was unsafe to drive the car, but they would offer me a courtesy car but with £2500 excess (yeah right). So i went withou a car for a week. I also asked how the car had passed the 72 point quality check that should have been done prior to me purchasing it, Also by Law they are to produce me with a copy of this if requested, they never had one cos it had never been done. While they had my car they managed to find a new rev counter from the internet of all places. I picked my car up a week later only to find that there was a big dent in the bootom of one of the doors and they wanted £700 to fix it for me, they had just had my car for a week and only now mentioned the dent. I asked if anyone had done a check of the car before they took it from me, but they hadn't, on asking the same person a week later they magically found the check that they hadn't done before and on it was Highlighted in black ink that there was a 'Big dent'. P.S the ink was still wet. The next thing that happened was from the buisness manager himself, When i used the remote central locking the indicators would not flash, so everytime i locked the car i had to listen very carefully for the locks or try the handle, i questioned this with him as the car i test drove had this facility, and he said 'oh its just the way we get them, some cars do some cars dont'. I again asked another member of their staff and he said that 'No Fiats at all have that facillity', i didn't believe any of them and sarched the internet, i found my answer on a blog, the indicators can function with the remote central locking, it just needed enabling in the on board computer and they had to pay Fiat main dealer £15 for a code. I told them this and 5 minutes later my indicators were working with the central locking, All this for the sake of 5minutes and $15. While waiting there was also a women in there complaining that they had spilt oil all over her drivers seat and wanted her to pay them (£1000) to replace the whole seat, y did they have oil inside the car itself?. I would avoid Desira group as if your life depended on it the above is only a brief account and there is much more i could tell you.
