Why is it that our government doesn't work for the people any more? Could it be because the whole American system is overly influenced by money. In some ways, the US governmental system has achieved oligarchical characteristics in the last 30 years. Now the republic is becoming soft and there is no clear voice in America, just polarization of political parties. Politicians today care more about getting re-elected than about the well being of American citizens.
