False advertising

I got service from Direct TV in Tucson Arizona, November of 2005. They are advertising that you would receive a free DVD or gift card if you get service with them. Well it is now November of 2006 and I still have not received my free DVD as promised. The company is saying that the advertisement was through Direct4U and there is nothing they can do. It seems to me if you are advertising this through your company you should be responsible. I sent in the paperwork that was required within the time frame. I even contacted Direct4U according to them The DVD was sent to the wrong address. I don't know how that possible when the have the form stating the correct address. I was suppose to receive another one in March of 2006. Nothing yet. The thing that get's me is Direct TV is still advertising you will get a Free DVD for you get service with there company. Something needs to be done about companies that are misleading the public in order to get business.
