I was moving from 900 miles away, so I arranged my move in 6 weeks in advance. They shampooed my carpets at 3pm the day of my move in. I had to postpone delivery of my belongings. They gave me $100 to compensate which didn't even cover the motel and added expenses. I've talked to other residents and found this is standard procedure! Even though I repeatedly called during business hours, they would neither answer the phone nor return the messages I left. Upon move in, the apartment was wet, smelly, dirty, and the airconditioner was broken (IN AUGUST!!). There was garbage littered around the exterior. They could have fixed the place up well before my move. Now, there is a piece of equipment in the weight room that is severly damaged. I brought it to their attention, but the piece has not been repaired or labelled as 'out of order'. Someone is likely to get hurt. All of the committment to customer satisfaction that Equity claims is empty lip-service.
