Entergy is our local utility company in Mississippi. They are requiring poor renters in Jackson to folk over $200 in a deposit that will earn no interest. I have tried to change my service from my landlord to myself with his permission so I could get the budget plan (the landlord can't because his house already has it), but the utility will not tell me if my credit score is high enough to not require the deposit. And if I begin the change and they require the deposit and I can't pay, they cannot just put it back into the landlord's name. A very nice trap for poor people. Thanks Entergy!!! Bastards!!!
