Dodge Pick Up

I own and purchased new a 2000, 2500 Dodge Ram with diesel motor, paid alot of money for the truck and repairs have been few. Problem is the dash is cracked into and falling in. Could be serious problems if someone was in truck and had even minor accident. Dodge is no help in replacing dash, they agreed to send new dash if I paid $1,000 for labor to install. Dashes should not crack and fall aprart this soon. I have seen vehicles with good new looking dashes long after motors, bodies etc fall apart. I feel Chysler knew they had installed dashes with inferior material after I have read scores of others who have complained and Chysler has not offered to help them, someone needs to force Chysler to stand behind their vehicles and help the consumer.
