My husband and I switched to dish from cable and everything was fine until we moved to a house with a hill behind it. We did the move and had to wait over a week to get the installer come out. He said that the hill was in the way and we would not be able to get service. I was very surprised because there is a direct tv dish on the house from the previous owners. He said to call them and that I would not be charged a cancel fee cause he deemed that we was unable to get service. I called to cancel and they said I would be charged $200 cancel fee because they didn't tell me to move where I could not get service. Well after talking to about 4 or 5 different people they said they would not charge me the cancel fee and they would send me a box to ship the equipment back in. I said I have a ton of boxes cause I just moved and if I could just send back the equipment in my own box. I was told no cause this one they send has the return label on it and It has a RA number. I thought everything was find until a few days later I checked my bank account and they had charged to my account any way. I had to call and complain again and go through the story again. They return all but 4 dollars and change they said I owed. So I thought ok whatever it is done. However I was wrong again. I waited and waited for the box to ship the equipment back in and actually forgot all about the dish crap. Well checking my back again they now charged $400 to my account for the equipment and will not put the money back until they receive it back. I called and told them I didn't receive the box. This time however they emailed me the return label. I am now waiting for $400 to be returned to me. This is running me behind on other bills but could have caused me to overdraft or anything. They are rude when you talk to anyone there and just take money out of someone's account with out notice or authorization is crazy. I warn anyone thinking about dish network DON'T DO IT.
