disabled roommate

I confess I am prejudice toward my roommate, just because she is in a wheelchair. I was never asked nor did I want to be in this living situation, but there is nothing I can do until I move out in June. Its not that I am going to push her down a hill or something, its just that I don't want to have to deal with someone who has a handicap like this. She hogs the bathroom every morning because it takes her longer to do things, I am tired of being woken up by the sounds and beeps her motorized wheelchair makes. She doesn't help out with the cleaning chores, so I have to do it every week. She tracks in everything her wheels rollover. And the smell. Nasty shit. So I try to avoid her everyday. Try not to pass her in my daily routines. Try to be in my room with the door closed whenever she leaves or enters the suite.I don't discriminate usually but I think being trust into this situation with no way of getting out for 2 two semesters just made it all that much worse. I feel better about getting this off my chest.

She is not a horrible human being! She is being honest. I don't think it has anything to do with her being in a wheelchair but more to do with the fact that she takes long in the bath room, is a bit of a slob and does't clean up after herself. Hhhhmmm....sounds like pretty typical complaints of a lot of people with room mates! I suspect that if the room mate were NOT handicapped but was still this way, the poster, like many of us would still be annoyed.
