We purchased water well drilling equipment from Deep Rock Mfg. We experienced numerous equipment breakdowns and injuries while trying to use this equipment. The process of well drilling is extremely strenuous and not nearly as much fun as they state! Their advertisement material portrays water well drilling in an oversimplified, untruthful manner. My husband suffered a head injury when the equipment malfunctioned and he was struck on the forehead over the right eye with a pipe wrench. All of their advertisements are false. It is dirty and dangerous work but the pictures, web site, and literature try to depict something that is fun and easy to do and that their customers range in age from teenage to retirement age. We still do not have well water. The drill bit and drill stem have become solidly lodged underground. We are out $4300.00. To summarize, unless you are drilling in a sand dune (or in the case of the advertisement video, a hole that has already been drilled), this 'well drilling equipment,' for the average user, cannot possibly do what they claim, as easily as they claim, while having as much fun as they claim. The equipment is a safety hazard to operate and should not be sold to the amateur well driller.

Your drill rig was never made by deeprock of Opelika, AL. A bunch of scammers bought the website of deeprock and are now building junk rigs out of Marquez, Texas. The name company name was not sold after deeprock went out of business. that means the Marquez, Texas company is in violation of copyright laws. If you bought a rig from the Marquez, Texas company see a lawyer you were ripped off with a counterfeit product.

I'd like to buy your rig, if you still have it. How's your husband these days? Generally a crack to the noggin' with a pipe wrench will heal up fine. All of the numbers at Deep Rock ring-in as disconnected, and emails posted using their contact page come back undeliverable. Others are reporting likewise. Still, if you want to sell yours, just let us know. My email is ********@*********.net Thanks!

Deeprock rigs are ok, you do need to have basic skills. The cheaper units do require much more labor to operate. real simple, the deeper you drill the better equipment it takes. Best place to buy deeprock parts and hydra drill upgrade parts is www.drillcat.com

Deeprock rigs are ok, just need to know what your doing. I found a great place for deeprock replacment parts, they are higher grade than stock, but will let you drill deeper. For deeprock parts go to www.drillcat.com

I would say if your husband tried to drill with the pipe wrench still attached or tried to detach pipe with the motor running, his head injury is a good lesson that he is not suited to be around machinery.

Have you been able to find parts for your machines or know who might have purchased their inventory when they went out of business? Thanks, Mike

We have 2 of their rigs and they work just fine. Drilling is not a job of a novice.

NONSENSE!!!!!!!! Some people have no business attempting to operate a wheel barrow, much less a drilling rig. It takes COMMON SENSE, and maybe about 3 seconds of forethought before starting the engine with the pipe wrench hanging on the drill stem. Some people are like Obahma, just want to blame everyone and everything instead of taking responsibility for their own actions I am not affiliated .with Deep Rock in any way, but a lot of people have drilled wells with these type rigs, nobody said it would be easy or fun!!!!!
