On April 14th 2006 and via the 'Simply Switch' web site I commenced action to change my telephone/broadband provider from Onetel to TalkTalk including provision of all telephone calls, landline rental and Broadband. My landline and telephone calls were taken over by TalkTalk on the 14th July 2006. To date I still await TalkTalk's take over of my Broadband services. I have throughout maintained a steady stream of e-mails and telephone calls to TalkTalk's customer services department and on the 18th July 2006 I was advised that my Broadband account will be credited with a £20 'gesture of goodwill' in lieu of their admitted inefficiencies. I am not even a customer entitled to receive their 'free broadband' offer at this time (as the local axchange,TalkTalk explained is not yet able to accommodate this service. Meanwhile, whilst continuimg to receive my Broadband facilities with Onetel I have been advised that I am no longer entitled to be charged at their preferrential package rates.
