Catalogs Don't really have the items!!!

I want to know hww a catalog I receive on Wednesday morning can be sold out of 5 different items Wednesday night. I think it is because they don't have the items they advertise to begin with. They add stuff to make the catalog look better!!! Com on!! In one day all 5 items are sold Out???? What are the odds??? And whats with the delivery dates. 'Oh yes that item will be shipped in 2 to 3 days' Three months later I don't have it!! How can they do this?? Catalogs with any class tell you up front about shipping. '6 to 8 weeks for delivery' OK...Thats fine at least I know. But these people who tell you call after call that it will be shipped in days or 'it is expected in stock in 2 weeks' need to be shot. Is this a commission thing?? Do they loose their commission if they tell you the truth?? What's going on?? It's a poor way to do business and no one will do a thing about it. Am I alone?? Complainers Unite!!!! Tell these companies 'NO MORE' I'll go to the mall!! That alone should put many of them out of business!!!
