british rail rip off

there is a huge amount of bad press around the issue of speed cameras and the farcical government excuse that they are there to improve road safety and not as yet another means of extracting money from the average joe. I would like to make a comment on another excuse for making money that surpasses even this. I travel on the train to work 5 sometimes 6 days a week. If I travel to work before 9 o clock my journey costs twice the amount if I travel to work after 9 o clock. Apparently this is to reduce congestion at peak travel times and encourage people to travel at a later time. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE LOAD OF RUBBISH!! People have to be at work at a certain time, no employer in the world would except the excuse 'sorry cant get in for that time because the train is to expensive' It is nothing but a shameful scam to force as much money out of customers as possible and there is nothing you can do about it. Its not as if you van refuse to use there service and go with a competitor as there are no bloody competitors. Until something is done by the government to make british rail a competitive industry where consumers can benefit from healthy competition between rival service providers this sad state of affairs will continue.
