AOL sucks! DO NOT DEPEND ON AOL TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH REBATE OFFERS! Back in 11/05 I signed up with them for a 1 year commitment (big mistake) & they were to send me a $125 Best Buy gift card. Guess what? I have paid my monthly charges and they have yet to send me my gift card. That was 9 months ago. IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY PRETTY MUCH TRICKED ME INTO SIGINING UP WITH THEM! Here are the list of excuses they have given me over the months in the order they were given: we are out of the gift cards, we only mail out in BULK mailings, we do not know what is going on (please!) and the one I have been given since April- please be patient while we process your offer. What rebate offer takes 4 months to process? Especially one that claimed there would be no paperwork to fill out & that the gift card would be automatically sent to my home within 45 business days. RIGHT! Have I been able to get any customer service help? Of course not! Then there was what I went through just getting online and the charges for 'offers' I did not use or request. Ok, they did refund those charges. I CAN NOT WAIT FOR MY COMMITMENT WITH THIS LAME COMPANY TO END AS I WILL RUN AS FAST AS I CAN TO A ISP THAT CARES ABOUT THEIR COUSTOMERS. I run a small business from my home and if I treated my customers the way AOL has treated me I would have NO BUSINESS! AOL WAKE-UP THE OTHER ISP COMPANIES ARE GOING TO DRIVE YOU OUT OF BUSINESS....IF WE ARE ALL LUCKY THAT IS. THANK YOU!
