aol monthly charges

We have been getting charged monthly on a Visa Card for 3 months now from AOL and we have never signed up with them. We call continuously and try to get these charges omitted to no avail. We have heard that AOL is the top company with these types of complaints! We just held on the phone for 6 minutes only to be cut off! What can we do?
