A friends life with drugs.

For the last 8 or 9 months i have watched my 17 year old friend distribute and take many drugs, from the not life threatening to the life threatening. It is only now that i have come to realize that it needs to end before he hurts or possibly even kills himself. He wont listen to me or anyone who wants to help, including his parents. I have thought hard on a solution and only came up with one, but i feel that it is somewhat of a sin being his best friend. Would it be a sin for me to report him to the police, and end his life as a drug dealer?
