Hardened convicts get 3 strikes! What's up with that, when a freshman in a community college recieving pell grants to pay for it, got caught with her boyfriends weed in her purse lost forever the benefits of federal funding to pay for college. Her and her boyfriend were charged with misdeamenors, 'pay the fine, your young, made a mistake, go and sin no more' but we can't help you better yourself through an education. Needless to say she is now working as a checker at the grocery store and private sitting at night. It has been 3 years. She was in college and would be finished by now if she hadn't lost her funding. Am I the only one that thinks this is totally wrong.
