If you are a Chef, Sous Chef , Cook etc and you have the opportunity to be hired bye NCLA, DON'T DO IT!. The recruiter will say things like 'full benifits, overtime with time and a half, you get to see all of Hawaii' bal blah blah. This is not true. I can tell you first hand, you will not see the light of day. You will be stuck in the galley (kitchen) 90 hrs. a week, 7 days a week for 5 months straight. No breaks, No days off, and no, you definitley do not get to tour Hawaii like you were promised. Instead you will be sent to a horrible secluded mold infested run down old hotel in Piney Point Maryland. There you will be training for your position while being fed poisned food from the cafeteria workers who are member of the SIU. I was so sick my first week there from the food and just breathing the air inside that building that I started to cough up blood. I went to they're so called nurse on duty and all she had to say is 'oh it's just a viral infection it will clear up in a few days' pfff yeah, that doesnt explain the copious amounts of mold I had just inhaled. After waiting about 2 months for your MMD or Z-Card they send you to your next home for 5 months. A small dark dingy cabin with 4 bunks and 1 tiny bathroom on the bottom of the ship. Once you are there you will be working 90 hrs. a week, 7 days a week, for 5 months straight for slave wages. If they offer you the job, save yourself, and find another job offer. TRUST ME! NCLA is the worst employer in America and they treat they're crew members like slaves.
