A few days ago I was walking down the street and there was a kid on the street and a car coming, so like any decent person I picked the kid up and sort of pushed her onto the sidewalk. The car didn't hit me front on, but I did roll up over the bonnet and down the side of it. I went to the hospital and am fine. Everyone is saying that it is a miracle and that I am a hero but there is nothing heroic about what I did, anyone would have done it. I wish the car would have killed me though.

Curious about wanting to die. Did you already want to die and the accident was just a coincidence? Or did you want to die as a result of the accident making you an unwanted hero? By the way, some people would simply freeze and watch the kid get run over. Your instincts worked for you. Congratulations. You put yourself in harm's way to save another. This is called altruism. Not everyone has it. So, something in you IS a hero whether you like it or not. I've often wondered if in a similar situation whether I would react as you did. I don't know. I'm a "thinker" and sometimes by the time I'm finished thinking, it's too late. I worry about this. You know. I envy you this. Celebrate saving a life. There's enough shit in the world as it is. We need good news sometimes. You were part of it.
