Windows Backup ???

Windows Server 2003 SBE came to our company with 2 apparent tape backup programs installed, neither are worth a @#$%. the Microsoft/Veritas will not even keep a log that has any information in it so it is a mystery from day to day to know if we even have a good backup. It does not even list which version it is to even begin to get any tech support. The Server 2003 backup is the most irritating piece of software ever written, new tapes are a nightmare to get to work and again we never know if we even have a good backup from day to day that would even restore the data. It is apparent that tape backups are useless and should not even be manufactured anymore. Tape backups leave a lot of room to be ripped off by local computer dealers as every time the wind blows the wrong way , well here goes a service call over a bunch of junk software.Anyone reading this be very careful if you depend on any Windows or Veritas Backups or Windows Server 2003 backups they may be fooling you into believing they work and if you ever find that someone has let more than one backup program be installed get rid of them, both the IT person and the software.
