Why does Comcast Lie!

I feel Comcast Lied to me. In April I shopped for better rates for intertnet and digial cable. Someone from Comcast came to my house and offered a good deal. I Called to set it up and asked many time to verify that this was indeed an offer for 12 months the said it was. NOW they say it was only for 6 months. The thing is I asked because I wantd to make sure. They treat you like your are the one who is lying.
