Why Confess ?

Why do we need to confess to an internet Page or to a priest? Doesn't the Bible clearly say that Jesus Christ is the mediator between mankind and the heavenly father. All we need to do is to confess to Jesus Christ. Only he can forgive sins. No church or human beings can forgive sins. The Catholic church is leading 1 billion people away from the truth. I pray for all the catholics to see this truth...
