I used to work for Whole Foods Market and they suck big time. Back in 1998 my father was in the hospital because he had gotten extreamly ill from his chemotherapy and the medicine he took for his diabeates. I was at work one day when my grandmother tryed to reach me concerning my dad's health. I was not in anyway told that she had called but instead she managed to get a ride all the way accross town to tell me my father was dying and probably not live more than a few more hours. I knew for sure that there should not have been a problem with me leaving to go see my father on his death bed but to my disamay they denied me to leave my post at the deli. It was not real busy that day and there was several team leaders (managers) that could have easily covered my position. I told them I was going to go with my grandmother to see my dad however they responded in a ver unexpected way and fired me. I managed to get to the hospital and my dad told me how much he loved me for the last time. He died about 20 minutes after i arrived at the hospital. I will never forgive the people at Whole Foods Market for what they put me through. I will always share my story at any oppotunity that is availible. They were so incompationate towards me that it makes me totally sick to my stomach. I lost my dad and my job on the same day however I did make the appropriate decision. Hopfully none of you that read this will have to go through the stress that I had. Good luck too you
