A collection person at Bank of America refuses to send me a copy of a statement on my account. I have a line of credit with them and owe about $38,000. My business changed locations more than six months ago. We haven't received any invoice or statement since. We have received late notice letters and they show penalties added to the balance. The letters are addressed to the business next door whose secretary sees that we get every one. No invoices or statements are received there. Just the threatening collection letters. We have contacted at least a dozen people at the Bank of America requesting help. No one can or will do anything for us. It turns out that the collection arm of the BOA is a separate entity and regular bank personel apparently can not access or change any decision made by them. They demand the balance due and all penalties immediately. Since we have not paid them in hopes of getting our address corrected the statements sent to us, or at least getting a written piece of paper from BOA showing our account information, they seem to have decided to ruin our good credit standing. Enough already. We will cancel all of our business with BOA, pay off our line of credit according to the last statement we received September 2005, cancel our BOA merchant services credit card account, and we will never come back to this bank of losers.
