I too am totally at a loss to justify the dissatisfaction I am feeling due to the derisory customer service/relations exercised by virgin active Birmingham. It would appear that their only motivation was to extract my bank account details. I chose to sign up for 12 months with a cash payment. This method was not deemed as acceptable unless I was prepared to submit my bank account details in full. The question asked was why? And if this was indeed the case would they please show me a copy of what the 12 month contract would entail. The representative said “can you hold on a minute I will go and speak to my manager”, within a minute he had returned and said “sorry I can't help you, good bye” I subsequently logged a complaint with Virgin Active and the customer service's representative was perplexed as to why they should need, or even request my bank details. The complaint was referred back to Virgin Active Birmingham ham who took no action. I am now a happy member of Livingwell Health Club and they have accepted my years subscription and not requested my bank account details. I would not recommend or purchase any Virgin product ever again.
