veneers

When the bonding on my two front teeth had to be redone I discussed veneers with my dentist. I was told veneers would be the better option as they would last much longer and look more natural. Dentist explained he would only have file away a bit of surface and a tiny bit of length. My teeth were not only filed on the surface but also around the edges leaving nothing but paper thin stubs of what my teeth once were. First set of veneers was placed crooked. Not only were they crooked, but they also caused me to have a lisping speech impediment and there was a gap large enough in between them that spit flew freely through. They were also a different shape than my original teeth. I went back and gave him the opportunity to fix the crookedness, the gap, and the shape. When he completed putting the second set in and I looked in the mirror, though straighter and less of a gap, I noticed one of the two had fractures throughout. Dentist slapped his forehead and asked when I wanted to come back. I said 'never'. Dentist made a not in my file that he owes me a tooth to replace the fractured one. I have been in continuous pain since having this procedure. Not only are the teeth still very sensitive to heat and cold after two months, but I cannot bite into anything due to gum pain. A second opinion offered that I may end up with root canals in both of these teeth :(
