unsatisfactory repairs to car

over 6 weeks down the line my car still has the same problem. Each time another part is ordered incurring more costs. My car is given back with other problems i did not have when it was first booked in who and what can one do? i have an older car (18yrs) and am made to feel 'oh not you again'
