Unrequited Love

I love a friend of mine, but she doesn't know what she wants. She keeps dating losers that are never there for her, and then calls me for all her troubles. I've tried to breech the issue and ask for heart, but she avoids the issue, with a flimsy excuse about losing her best friend if we screwed up. I know I have to walk away and abandon my unrequited love and it's killing me. Why did I have to meet her?
