I had sex with my step uncle.. at the time when it started I was 7 my parents had never told me the birds and the bees or anything like that. he told me that when I have a boyfriend I'm supposed to do certain things and that he was going to show me what I was supposed to do for him. this continued until I was about 12 and by that age I was doing my best to avoid him because I had then known that it was wrong. I have never told anyone because I feel like its my fault but at the same time I feel like I was manipulated

Maybe it was because you were so young (I mean, I'm not trying to make excuses for her, but not all moms believe the things their children say. Especially if its about their close family. Still, she really should have taken it seriously..) Maybe now that you're older she'll listen. But if she doesn't, don't blame yourself (sadly, a lot of people just push it off because they feel they can't deal with it) If you feel that you really need to talk about it try another family member or even a close friend. Or some kind of counselor. And If you don't mind me asking, what is he in jail for? And how long? If you dont want to answer thats fine (this is kinda publicish anyway). I was just curious if it was for the same reason. Anyway, whenever he comes out, just make keep your distance. He could still try to do the same thing (plus, it might dig out bad memories)

I tolled my mom once but she ignored me so that made it seem normal. he's in jail now and I feel no matter if I tell my family or not they won't believe me

It is not your fault! Any person that touches a child is completely in the wrong. I can't find any reason to think that the child was the guilty one.. He's just a pervert and a complete jerk bag for taking advantage of you. I know that its hard thing to confess, but this is really something that you should tell; it could prevent him from harming another child like he harmed you. And I'm so sorry about what happened! Hopefully you can get help coping with it (a therapist can really work wonders, even though at times they seem pretty nerve grating)
