TOYOTA REFUSING TO PAY FOR REPAIRS

I bought out my lease on a 2002 Toyota Corolla in July of 2006. In April of 2006 I had my normal 3000 miles oil change and about a month later the check engine oil light came on. I checked the oil level and noticed it was very low. I assumed that the mechanic failed to put in the full amount during the oil change and didnt think much about it. At the time my car had under 60k miles and was still under lease. I purchased my car when the lease expired and several weeks later the check oil light came on again. I took it back to a mechanic who could not find the problem and replaced the filter and did a new oil change. About a month and a half later the light came on again and I new there now was a major problem. I took it to another mechanic who within 5 minutes of looking at the car said the engine was shot. He told me to go to Toyota so they could diagnose the problem. Toyota was unable to diagnose the problem quickly and I had to drive another 1200 miles and return 3 times before they were able to tell me that the engine was shot. No reason why but it needed $3500 repair. I spoke with the service manager who told me that Toyota should cover the cost and first he needed to speak with his rep. He assured me that if his rep denied the claim there was other actions to pursue. HE LIED!!!! Toyota denied the claim and I have been told the matter is closed. No reason. Nothing. I have contacted an attorney and will be pursuing this matter further but Toyota has lost a customer for life. DO NOT BUY TOYOTA UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCREWED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
