Me and my husband have been maried for 30 pretty wonderful year's, we bought a home 11 year's ago and have been trying to save enough money to have a front porch put on, well he died last feb. and with one of his ins. policy's and the little bit of money that we did save I had the porch built in memory of him. well I looked and looked for a comtracter that I could trust not to rip an old woman off, It started off bad from the get go with me not knowing what I should have gotten in writing but took his word for,(wrong thing to do) What was suppose to take two week's took 3 month's and alot of having to stay on his back because he wasnt doing thing's the way we talked about or even the way it was wrote up in the contract, The big mistake I made was when the job was done, with the exception of him coming back and fixing some minor thing's I went ahead and paid him in full(dumb Move) I never herd from him again and I have found out that the ONLY thing that I can do is either take him to court or just complain about it, witch you know never get's you anywere, but now I have to dish out an additional two to three thousand dollars to have what he didnt finish done.
