too old to start over

I was let go at my job of 15 years. And of course I feel that it was not my fault. New management looking for younger blood so to speak. Now things really are BAD....... I am unable to find a job making any thing close in salary to what we were living on, and now the whole barrel of apples is beginning to go bad. I am fed up and don't know what to turn at this point. =( Unemployment as pitiful as it is pays more than most of the jobs that I can do now.
