The Ten-Year Old Lie

Some ten years ago while I was much younger, I lied against my uncle. He was fifty and still single and he used to visit us regularly then. My parents were more than well-to-do and they would help my uncle with some money every now and then. I knew even then. I liked him a lot but he wasn’t too much taken to me. I wasn’t his favorite nephew and I hated him for liking my younger brother more. So I lied against him. I told my parents I saw him fondling my brother. My brother was too young to know what the lie meant but it made my parents distance themselves from my uncle. He never came back.

That is sick. You need to find your Uncle and apologize and offer him everything you have or else you will feel like a guilty little bitch for the rest of your life.

That was a malicious act on your part. Not only did you hurt your uncle but also your parents. It sounds like they cared about him very much to help him as often as they did and to have them in your home for regular visits. Telling them that news had to have devastated them. You need to make amends. You are punishing your uncle, your parents and whomever else may be aware of this lie. And for what? Because he didn't like you as much as your brother? News flash - there's always a favorite - some people are just better at hiding their favoritism. If you don't correct this, it speaks volumes about your lack of character. Its no wonder he liked your brother more than you. So would I!

That is wicked. Maybe your uncle ended up being a bum for that single lie. I guess you didn't hurt your brother though. You need to find this guy now that your older and come clean.
