The Size of Texas

HOW Come Texas has to be so big? I mean seriously, most other states can be driven across in 1 day. NOT TEXAS! And every map I have of TEXAS is Deceiving. Texas looks big in the maps, but not as big as it actually is. Here is the perfect example: Austin is essentially in the middle of the state and El paso is on the far West side...HOW COME ITS A 10 hour drive to el Paso? Thats TOO BIG!
