The Assurance Group ( aka TAG ) is an independent marketing organization located in Archdale, NC. They contract with insurance companies to sell various insurance products, recruit agents to sell through them, and earn their money from overrides on agent production. The problem is they take the lion's share of commissions. In some cases over 50%. They think they are entitled to THEIR compensation because they offer preset appointments to you. The idea is fine...but you pay for the appointments...good or bad. In many cases appointments are made with people who do not need what you are selling or cannot qualify for the product. Company managers are masters of deceit. What they tell you is often different from reality. They promise all the leads you can handle...I went for weeks without a lead. They conveniently forget to tell you it will almost take an act of congress to get out of a contract with them. Don't try to communicate with them. They don't know how to return phone messages, they don't know how to use email, and letters sent by mail, UPS, and Fed Ex seem to disappear. They must since you never get a response. This company was my worst nightmare. Don't make the same mistake I, and many others, made. Avoid this company like the plague.
