Teachers Rude Remarks

My daughter is in band. And the color guard coach made a remark to one child that she is to not hang around my daughter and her friends. Because they give the color guard a bad name. They are not even on the color guard, but are only in band. The color guard and band practice together. This same teacher made rude remarks towards my other daughter who was in the band and color guard about 2 years ago. I bit my tongue and never did say anything about the rude remarks that were made. But, this time I feel that maybe this situation should be brought to light. These comments that were made really did hurt my daughter's feelings and she does not even understand why she would make such remarks. My daughter is an A-B student and has never had any problems at school what so ever. My daughter thinks that it may be the way her and her friends dress....Which is punk/gothic look. I see nothing wrong with my daughter expressing herself in this way. And feel judgment should not be placed on what style clothes any student may wear as long as it is within school guide lines. So do you think I should address this teacher about the remarks made? How should I go about doing so if I decide to make a complaint? Do you think this is a proper way for a teacher to act or am I just making a big deal out of nothing? Thanks so much for your advice on this matter.
