I'm an English teacher in my early 20s and I can't stop thinking about a 16yo student. I would never ever do anything, have never been alone with him, and never will. He has had a crush on me the whole year. At first I thought nothing of it, but now I can't get him off my mind.

From op. Wow. It's definitely not like that. I'm not even considering it bc I'm well aware of the consequences plus I realize it's immoral. My point was that he keeps popping up in my head and I really wish I could clear my thoughts of it once and for all. I feel bad for even thinking of it like a crush. Definitely would never do more and so that's not the issue. At least the school year ends next week.

OH, my goodness. Oh. my goodness. You WILL be found out, one way or another. Jail. Trial. Very negative publicity and effects you can't possibly forsee on your family and all the people you love. EVERYONE WILL KNOW. Jail again. Then prison. Rape, homosexual and otherwise, for many years. Maybe, if you're lucky,registration as a pedophile. Reporting monthly Reporting monthly to an unpleasant asshole the state has appointed as your parole officer. He, or she, will take advantage of you in unpleasant ways for a Really. Long. Time. You will be signing away your relationship with EVERYONE you love and who lives you. Your life will never, ever be anything like it is now. Think about it... and do as you will. You have my sincerest sympathies.

The trick is tell him a random lie about you and if no one in the school talks about it then he can keep a secret and do it

I've had a teacher I wished had taken my flirtation to the next level. I would have kept it our secret. Just do it!!
