I hate to complaint about something like this but here goes. How can I get him to pay back my wedding gift? Two weeks before my stepson's wedding he cancelled it. His father asked him to return the five hundred dollars we had given thme as a wedding present. It had come from my savings as my husband was hard up. We heard nothing, but a year later we got a letter from his son saying he had married someone else and they had a child. He didn't think his wife should lose money over an incident from his own past. He wanted his father to meet his wife and baby but felt their disagreement over the money prevented it. this is also causing trouble between my husband and me. Am I wrong to want my money back?
