Star Marine poor service

I am from Canada and recently ordered a PFD from Star Marine. Their site failed to warn me that there would be excessive brokerage fees of $42 on a $150 purchase. When adding freight, it added approx $62 to the price. When I called to complain I was told they clearly stated there were dury fees on top of the item. Not only do their site not state this and in fact clearly ommited this fact, the charges were not for duty as there is no duty on PFD's. They said then that it was up to me to know the regulations for any shipping company I used despite the fact that they picked the shipping company. They stated they had no obligation to disclose anything other than the shipping costs. I indicated that it was then better for me to return the item but they said I would be penalised a stiff re-stocking fee. I was told I should have gone to the shippers web site and read all the rules for shipping - a preposterous statement. I then wrote asking if they could help me with the issue to which I never even received an acknowledgement of the email. So, in short, they got my cash and I got screwed without any consideration of customer satisfaction. Beware Star Marine!
