It was forecast, and it came with a vengeance. I had decided not to go to work today, and I figure I made the right decision! Then a couple of hours ago, my doorbell rang. I opened the door to find a very cold next door neighbour's young teenage daughter. Her parents had gone on a journey this morning, and were now stuck in the snow 130 miles away. She not gone to school, as it was closed due to the weather, but had got bored, had gone out to go to the shop, and inadvertently locked herself out. I called her Mum, who said they were fine, staying with friends overnight, but would I look after daughter overnight Of course I would! I brought her in, turned up the central heating and lit my log fire too. I suggested she might like a nice hot bath, which she seemed to appreciate, and made her a nice hot drink. Now, I'm relaxing on the sofa watching tv, and she's sitting in my dressing-gown in front of the roaring fire, playing with my iPad. I'm looking at her, and thinking how cute she is... And I don't have a spare room ... She's going to have to share my bed tonight ....
