Be carefull cutting the venturi as it is made to a specific shape for good suction. If you cut it out flattening the top, the fuel mix can be disrupted and you would be worse off than where you started. If you were to cut the carb it two you would see the venturi looks like a wing section. It would be like flattening off the top of the wing where the result would be a loss of lift. Best to see if you can match up the linkages with a bigger bore carb from your local chainsaw dealer. They usually have lots of used ones. At least I did when I was in the racket.gg
