SLUMLORDS SHEEHAN

There is a couple who live in Rockaway Park, New York, John and Frances Sheehan. There home has major violations and yet they are allowed to continue to rent and ripoff tenants. They prey upon those who are down on their luck. What is appauling is that the buidling department turns a deaf ear. It is listed as a mother daughter yet their are seven cut up apartments and God Forbid there was a fire the tenants on the upper floors would be trapped due to an illegal wall. I was shown an a studio, which was a room on an enclosed porch. The room was so tiny but had a stove, which was right next to the bed. When I stated that it appeared illegal, Mr. Sheehan with grandson in tow advised me 'Honey, I have the buidling department in my right pocket. Money talks. The best part about it honey people do not realize how wealthy we are. But the fact is I own the building department. I guess there will not be an investigation until the pompus arrogant slum lord have a fire, then it will be news and they will have to do something. The house is so filled with clutter. It is hard to believe how they are all on the take.
