
Slim Seduction Refund Scam

On approximately 10-18-06 I was emailed an offer from Slim Seduction touting their virtually no risk weight loss supplement. The first product was free and you only paid $4.95 shipping and handling. Upon receipt of the product, I read the ingredients, saw that I was allergic to one ingredient and immediately emailed them to tell them to cancel my membership into the automatic “slimSeduction Club”. I received no return email. (Spam blocker is not on) Immediately I started getting ‘support email' from GNS. It had no trouble getting to my inbox at all. ON November 8, I called to confirm that I was cancelled only to find they had received the email but it is their policy to not cancel in the first 14 days and not after 21 days. They say they sent an email to that effect that I did not receive. I asked for a duplicate email., I did not receive it. I was told the next shipment was on its way. I said I would refuse it. They said “No, I needed to accept it because refused packages get lost”. I told them I wanted to avoid return shipping costs but the sales person assured me it was my only choice. When I received the second shipment it said on the shipping label “Refused packages will not be accepted/ Return to Sender”. SO I call the company to get a return authorization number only to discover that they will NOT refund me even though they know I cannot take this product. They again say they will email me and they have not. It is their policy to only refund in that 7 day window and never thereafter. I believe this to be a scam or at the very least an unethical business. They are hiding behind their policy even though it is unscrupulous and fraudulent.
