Beware of Cuisinart's latest 12-cup Programmable Thermal Coffeemaker (DTC-975 Series). At over $105 a pop, within 3-4 weeks, instead of pouring directly into the pot, this coffeemaker will regularly Overflow all of the hot coffee during the brewing cycle, burning your hands and pouring scalding coffee all over the kitchen counter and floor. Then the automatic shut off will not work, and the non-existent coffee water will continue to be 'brewed,'posing the hazard of a fire until unplugged. Although there is a '3-year warranty,' Cuisinart refuses to issue refunds and limits their 'warranty' to replacing the defective pot with an identical defective pot, which poses the same problem, having obviously been defectively designed.
