Service? What Service?

Ever bought a product from Sears and really believed they had a home service department that actually functioned. We had an 8 year old Kenmore freezer go out so called for repair. They showed up 3 days later and estimated the repair at over $1000 and recommended we buy a new one, of course. We did, the next day. They delivered it 3 days later. ...One week and counting... Couldn't get that one to stay below 33 degrees and its alarm woke me up at 3:00 am. Never got below 19F. So called the number for 24 hour service. Answered by someone who hadn't a clue and who suggested we call back after 8:00 am. We did. That man, said 'nope, have to have it 24 hours before you can call for service'. Called back after one o'clock, forwarded call several times, finally reached someone who set up a repair call in (you guessed it) 3 days. Supposed to call the night before to establish window for when they would arrive. They didn't call, of course. Called back. Said they had no record of that repair request, just the one for the Friday before. Set up Service call again and believe it or not the guy does show up the next day! But, the NEW freezer had a dead circulating fan and instead of replacing it, he ordered the part. It was due to arrive here in, Yep, 3 days. Well, we are at the end of that day and no part has arrived. So, we are back to calling them again to make sure the order was placed and why it isn't here. Thanks for letting me vent.
