There are millions of people in their 70s and 80s and even 90s that have either smoked all of their lives or lived with a smoker and are healthier and have lived longer than their friends that never smoked. For smoking or second hand smoke to harm anyone's health they have to be pre-genetically disposed to the illnesses that smoking or second hand smoke can cause. In that case, you are a walking time bomb and if smoking or second hand smoke doesn't get you, then being ignorant and using plastic or plastic wraps when cooking in your microwave, which releases the cancerous chemicals of the plastic into your food, or driving your car will most definitely get you before second hand smoke does. Yet, you want to blame and single out smokers as being a threat to you so you can ignore your own defiance to watch what you do to harm yourself and others. You complain about second hand smoke, but yet you will get in your car alone to take a drive because you are too lazy to walk anywhere. If all the smokers in the world would light up at the same time you are driving your car to the health food store, the gym, or a rally to ban smokers the only one that would doing irreversible damage to the air of this planet and to everyone breathing it would be you in your car. When someone complains to me about having to pass through my smoke while I am having to stand outside of the restaurant to smoke I ask them if they walked there, or did they drive and do irreversible damage to my atmosphere, not to mention that aerosol they used to lacquer their hair so it wouldn't blow with the top down because they wanted “fresh air” during the drive! Unless you know for a fact that you are one of those that are pre-genetically disposed to illnesses and are walking instead of driving and doing all you can to protect yourself and the environment don't lecture me about my smoking harming your health. You are harming MY health with all the unnecessary stress you cause me about killing you faster than you are going to kill yourself and everyone else on this planet whether they smoke or not!
