
Sears Repair/Warranty

Bought a new Craftsman riding mower and used it for 30 minutes on June 16,2006. The next day it had a flat tire so I called customer service. A week later a repair man came to my house and put 2 cans of fix a flat in it because 'it didn't have a good seal'. That night it was flat again. I called customer service,again, and a week later the same repair guy came out. He said that I needed a whole new tire and that it will take 2 weeks to get it and put it on. This was Friday June 30, 2006. Today, July 7, 2006, I went to the SEARS store where I purchased the mower to see about exchanging it. The manager told me that since the mower was used, though only for 30 minutes, that it would have a $100.00 return fee because it is now a used mower!!! I would have to pay $100.00 to exchange this thing that I have had parked in my basement for nearly a month!!!! Now they say that they cannot get my tire fixed until July 14,2006. This is with a warranty, not to mention the fact that it is CRAFTSMAN'THE TRUSTED NAME IN TOOLS AND OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT'!!!! It was easier on me to pay $25.00 to get a new tire myself and have it put on. NEVER AGAIN CRAFTSMAN, SEARS AND KMART!!!!
