Dear Sears I know I am a hard man to please when it comes to doing things right. I am having a hard time understanding how you can pay two people to measure a job for cabinets and still get the measurements wrong. I was told from start to finish four days tops, when the installer found the measurements to be wrong it took over a week to straighten out, that is after the old cabinets were ripped out. Then while waiting for new cabinets to be shipped I had an installer who was supposed to not only install counters and cabinets but now was to act as an unlicensed, licensed plumber, I can't explain how bad that was. To make it short the man fiddled with the piping for three hours and still couldn't figure it out, so I had to hire my own licensed plumber on a Sunday to fix the pipes because the installer left the pipes unplugged and sewer gas was escaping into my house making my house smell bad enough that we had to leave. The plumber also had to explain to the installer that the reason the sink wasn't sitting flush on the counter was because the hole he cut in the counter was too small, this was after the installer returned one sink because it wouldn't fit. I called Sears to explain that the installer not only lost the electrical plug to my dishwasher that he was installing under the cabinets but also didn't put the brace he took off the bottom of the dishwasher back on, so now the dishwasher door has to be held down while dishes are being loaded or unloaded because the door is buckling against the bottom of the dishwasher and I also told them that the screws the installer used was the wrong screws because they were too long and if he were to screw them in all the way they would be sticking through the counter top. So far one screw has fallen out. To fix this problem, I have to buy a new dishwasher and to have it installed correctly. Another expense I wasn't counting on. I knew from the start that our lives would be disrupted for a few days but having the cabinets ripped out and not being able to use the kitchen sink or stove we were forced to eat out for the week while this job was finished. The sales pitch. If you sign now you get the ten percent discount. If I walk out the door the ten percent is gone. I was told to go out and get a range hood and the home Improvement people would install it. I just got off the phone with the Job Coordinator person that was supposed to do the installation and was told he can't hook it up because he is not a licensed electrician. So I asked him what I am supposed to do with the hood that has been sitting in my garage for over two weeks waiting for him to find time to install it, and he said I would have to hire a licensed electrician to install it at my own cost. (Yet Another expense!) He also told me he would send the installer who installed my dishwasher back to fix it, I told him I didn't want that installer back. I paid the Twelve Thousand Nine Hundred dollars after the job was complete. I signed off on the job with a verbal understanding in front of witnesses if I had any problems they would be taken care of. I have to honestly say I am not at all happy. Thank You
