On the 31st December 2005 we ordered a two seater and three seater leather suite from ScS. we were told that it would be 8 - 10 weeks delivery. We ordered the three seater to have the arms removed prior to delivery, so it would fit in our lounge, and ScS were to arrange for an upolsterer to attend and re-fit the arms in situe. 11 weeks pass and we ring up to find out the whereabouts of our order, to be told its in the wharehouse and are awaiting to confirm delivery,(News to us)It is arranged to be delivered a few days later, the Two seater is brought in (No Problem) BUT the three seater still has arms attached and wont fit and has to be returned to the wharehouse to have the arms removed, approx two weeks later they (ScS) arrange to re deliver the three seater, it has deep scratches down the sides of the leather and along the back, we do not accept this and it is returned. We are no so insensed that we decide to drive the 85 mile round trip to the showroom where we ordered it almost four and a half months ago, and complain to the store manager. He assures us this is very rare and he will personally look into it and has ordered a brand new three seater to come from Italy, Hovever this will be another 8-10 weeks. 14 weeks pass and still no sign of said sofa, two weeks later we eventually get the three seater in our lounge... BUT... the feet are different to the ones on the two seater... The upholsterer said he will bring it up with the company on our behalf, a further two weeks go by and no word, so once again it is down to us to do the chasing, being passed from piller to post, and getting no where fast... Eventually we get through to someone who will action it (Hurrah) Two weeks later someone from head office calls to clarify they are ordering the correct feet (We were under the immpression this had been done two weeks prior)We confirm the feet ordered are indeed what we want, she informs us she is placing the order today, BUT that it will be, Yes youv'e guessed it 8-10 weeks delivery. 13 November 2006 (Almost a year since we placed the order) and our replacement feet are arriving and been fitted by the Upholster today. OH! I dont belive it, they have only sent the same feet as we already have, I.E. The WRONG ONES>>> We contact the Regional Manager, who informs us that they dont supply the feet we have requested for our sofa... Funny that as we have them on the Three Seater, he could not give a TOSS!!! after all they now have our money dont they, we after all are small and insignificant to a big company like ScS. There web site www.scs.co.uk proudly boasts that they are customer focused and that they always put the customer first - This is absolute CRAP... So at this point we are very nearly a year in to ordering this suite and feel that we will never get what we ordered.. In Conclusion, I would strongly reccomend anyone thinking of purchasing a new sofa to avoid ScS like the plague...You have been warned...
