
Screwed by a different phone service

Just a heads up. We signed up for Vonage hoping to get better service tech service than we got from SBC/AT&T. The first Vonage router was deemed defective after hours and hours of trying to get their technicians to get it to work. They sent another box, that one didn't work either. Six technicians and two complaint emails later, still nothing. In the end had to pay for one month of service, $29.99; disconnection fee of $39.00 and $79.00 for the second box, because it was past their 30 day 'free' trial, plus shipping charges to return the first box. They did me a 'favor' of not charging for the disconnection of the second line. We wound up paying over $150.00 for nothing. Just the priviledge of wasting hours with their techs and on our own trying to figure it out and for a router box that we had to keep because they were charging us for it anyway. Their commercial says people do really stupid things, but the stupid thing we did was signing up with them in the first place.
