We visited the Timberland shoe outlet located at the Premium Outlet in Orlando with several of our friends that were visiting us from Delaware. The guy that helped me with my shoe purchase was more than friendly, but the assistant manager that night was beyond rude to everyone in the store including several people that were purchasing shoes that were not in our party. Everyone was shocked when she came to the back of the store where we were trying on shoes and she told everyone that they would have to leave because the store would be closing in 2 minutes and nothing could be rang up in the register after 10:00 PM. Some people in the back of the store said 'we are trying on shoes and there are a lot of us that are going to purchase shoes and she said ' I don't care sir, we are closing in 2 minutes and you will have to leave'. I was already standing at the register when I heard her yelling at everyone in the back of the store and my husband made the comment to me that she was very rude in the way she told everyone to get out of the store. A sales girl behind the counter heard him say that and she said : no sir she isnt rude, we have to close at 10:00. The assistant manager stormed over to us at the register and proceeding yelling at us that the cashier on duty was still in school and she had to be off by 10:00 'that is the law' 'nothing can be rang up in the register after 10:00. I just looked at her and made no response at all, it wasnt worth it. She then proceeded complaining to all the employees about how they were all going to still be there at 3:00 in the morning trying to clean the store up because they had been so busy with customers all day that they couln't get anything accomplished in the store. Since when did having a lot of customers become such a huge problem to a business? I purchased 2 pairs of shoes from them and my friend purchased 1 pair, together we bought 200.00 worth of shoes and we were a huge problem for her. We were not in the store over 20 minutes total and there were 4 employees in the store at that time but only one of them was able to run the register. I am fully aware of the fact that the assistant manager was not intelligent enough to work a register but I think some of the other employees could have. Don't buy from Timberland Orlando until they get rid of Maria the assistant manager she really doesn't want your business. I am going to take my shoes back I really would not be able to enjoy them for thinking about the unpleasant experience of doing business with Maria.
